This page covers safer gambling: what this site can and cannot do for you, where help links sit, and practical habits that keep gambling under control.
Site Limits: Stated Plainly
Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one on, check one or enforce one. If you want any of these, set them up yourself inside your account at the destination.
Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it. Any check of that kind happens at the destination. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page.
No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.
Help Links: Five Organisations
Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to five independent gambling-help organisations: BeGambleAware, Gamble Aware, Gambling Therapy, G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here, and NCPG. On this page, as on every page, they appear among the site's outbound links.
| Help organisation links | Operator links |
|---|---|
| No sponsored marking | Commercial links |
| Set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on the organisation's own website | Lead to the operator's site |
| This site receives nothing when you follow them | Commercial in nature |
Spending Habits: Set Early
- Decide the amount before starting. A limit chosen while calm is more reliable than one chosen mid-session.
- Treat it as spent. If you count the money as already gone, a loss stays within what you planned rather than feeling like a debt to recover.
- Never chase a loss. Each outcome is independent, so bigger stakes after a loss only enlarge the next loss.
- Keep borrowed money out. Credit adds repayments and interest to losses that already hurt.
Session Breaks: Stay Aware
Time passes quickly during play. Stepping away regularly lets you check your spending and mood with a clearer head, and makes it easier to stop when you planned to.
Outside Support: Ask Early
When gambling stops feeling like entertainment, involve someone else early. Talking to a person you trust, or contacting one of the independent organisations listed above, brings in a perspective that is harder to argue away than your own.
